Windows 10: My task bar is not working at all. It is not responding, my icons won't show up, the start...

The cursor always has the "thinking" icon when I hover over it. When I click on the task bar, it resets. But it goes back to its original state of not working. I have shut down the computer multiple times. I was working just fine and even used the shut down function through windows instead of force shutting down. The next time I turn it on it is not working at all, and it seems that every windows program I need to use to fix this issue is not working.

I've gone on multiple websites for tutorials on how to fix it, but they all eventually get to a point where I cannot continue any further because they're opening the settings app and my settings will not work!!!

I have opened the task manager, restarted Windows Explorer and nothing changes. I tried to force open the settings app through cmd and it won't work. I open powershell through cmd and use all these codes that these websites tell me to use and it says my access is denied.

Is my PC screwed? I'm just so frustrated because I was assigned a project last night that needs to be done today

Anyways I don't know if anyone has ever had this problem because I swear I cannot find any tutorial that caters to this. I feel like I'm screwed.

Also please don't tell me to right-click on task bar or start icon... I promise you it will not work.

Edit: Sounds like this post has the same problem as me. And this is what it looks like. But restarting my computer does nothing. I'm able to open the file explorer through task manager but I cannot find any program files that I might be able to delete. Windows key does not work at all. Windows defender won't open as I thought it could be a way to get into my settings. None of that works.

task bar not responding

Task Bar is not Responding

My task bar is not working..icons are there but they are not responding..even the windows icon at bottom left is not responding....everything excluding applications icon on task bar is not working..i.e they are not pooping up..like i want to see my notifications
but that is not responding same for battery icon and others.

 

Throttlestop obsidian not showing readouts in task bar

Hello

I had the previous version of throttlestop installed on a surface pro running windows 10 and it was working beautifully but now I am having trouble getting throttlestop to show temp/cpu reporting in the windows task bar. I have 'Task Bar' checked in the main window but still nothing appears. The check boxes within Options for Notification Area such as CPU Temp and CPU Mhz do not respond when clicked. Am i missing something/is there something else I need to do in order to get throttlestop obsidian to report to the task bar?
