Windows 10: My Task Bar Wastes a Lot of Space.

On the left side are 3 icons: My ID, This PC, & Libraries none of which I use, with big gaps of wasted space between them. On the right half, my email icon and all my application icons and open folders are arranged in 3 rows, which necessitates using an up and down arrow to use the 2nd and 3rd row of icons. How can I get rid of the items on the left side in order to utilize the whole task bar to spread out my other icons. See attached screenshot. Thanks.

Cannot modify Task Bar settings

I understand your concern and will be happy to assist you.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

• Right click on the Task Bar.
• Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."

Clock, date and time missing from task bar

Can someone, please provide me with a answer to my question above? I tried all the suggestions. The suggestions containing steps, do not show up as described. For example: Click on an empty space on the task bar, click customized notifications, turn clock
on. None of this steps show up on the drop menue.

 

Wasted space on windows 10 notification bar (vertical mode)

Thanks for the update and response.

By design there will be little gaps in the notification bar. If you need less space I would suggest you to follow the below steps,

1. Type settings in search bar and then Enter.

2. Select System and in the display keep the change the size of the text,apps and other items as 100%.

Further, I suggest you to send a feedback to Microsoft regarding this feature. Type Feedback on Search bar and go to
Feedback app.
