  1. My taskbar sometimes hides behind apps after my screens timeout

I've been having this problem practically ever since I got Windows 11 and I haven't been able to fix it myself. Usually the task bar would stay on top of other applications i.e. google, discord etc... however after my monitors have gone into idle, the next time I wake them up, the task bar is now permanently behind all of the applications it should be on top of. Sometimes it will fix itself again after the monitors have gone idle again but its rare.

    :)

  2. how to effectively hide or disable the taskbar?

    Hi,

Did you try the “Auto-hide the taskbar” option from Taskbar properties?

If you have not tried it, I would suggest you to follow these steps and auto-hide the taskbar:

    • Right click on Taskbar.
    • Click on Properties
    • Check the box Auto-hide the taskbar.
    • Click on OK.

    Hope this information helps.

  4. My taskbar sometimes hides behind apps after my screens timeout

How to hide taskbar on all apps but desktop?

    Hello!

Unfortunately, there is no built-in way to hide the taskbar only when using apps and have it visible when on the desktop. The “automatically hide my taskbar in desktop mode” option hides the taskbar all the time, as you mentioned.

However, you can request this feature from Microsoft by using the Feedback Hub app. The Feedback Hub app lets you tell Microsoft about any problems you run into while using Windows 11 or Windows 10. You can also send suggestions to help improve your Windows experience. Sending a suggestion or reporting a problem can be as easy as finding feedback similar to yours and upvoting it or adding your experience.

To open the Feedback Hub app, select Start, enter Feedback Hub in the search bar, and select the Feedback Hub app from the list. This launches the Feedback Hub app home page. From there, you can follow the on-screen instructions to detail the problem you’ve encountered or suggest a new feature.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.
