Windows 10: My touchpad is detected as ps2 mouse

I recently bought an medion erazer p60 laptop. After installing w11, I noticed my touchpad wasn't responding perfectly : gliding 1 finger made the cursor move and taping once with one finger made a "left click". However, gliding and taping with 2 finger or more does nothing, preventing me from scrolling and "right clicking" with 2 fingers. In w11 touchpad options, the touchpad gesture options doesn't show up. When connecting a regular mouse, touch pas still works as described partially and mouse works normallyI read that it might be caused by the drivers. I installed every one my manufacture

Ps2 mouse is not recognized by windows 10

My name is Mohammed Shuaib, an Independent Advisor and I'm here to assist you with the issues of the PS2 mouse not detecting. Please follow the below to fix the issue.

Fix #1:Before following the below make sure the PS2 mouse is connected.

Step 1:

Go to search box next to Windows icon and type CMD

Step 2:

Right-click on Command Prompt and select Run As Administrator

Step 3:

Type msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic and press enter.

Step 4:

Click Next on the Hardware troubleshooter wizard.

Step 5:

Restart PC

Let me know the status after performing the above.

Ps2 mouse is not working

Hello! I am facing a problem with my ps2 mouse.

I generally using my ps2 mouse since 7-8 years.I recently upgraded my windows 7 to windows 10 in 2020.

After upgrading the system , I can able to use my ps2 mouse on that.I am bored with my ps2 mouse and purchased a new usb mouse and just working with it from 2-3 months.

But I wanted to use both usb and ps2 mouse on single pc to do many stuff by using two mouse.After plugging the both mouses on single system,my ps2 mouse not working and even not detected in device manager.But when I purchased usb mouse, both are working.I
don't know why after 2-3 months my ps2 mouse is not working.I saw many tutorials on YouTube to solve my problem.Only thing i got there is to change i8042prt.sys start value from 3 to 0 in regedit. I never tried it because, I feared about the BSOD(blue screen
of death) issue.I wanted to know that by changing registry value will not arise the BSOD error and tell me that this will harm my system and will it work or not.

I also searched about the i8042prt.sys.I got that when we make a replacement of ps2 mouse with usb it generally forcibly disable the i8042prt driver.I don't know this is true or not but tell me is it true or not.

Please resolve my problem.

 

Ps2 mouse is not recognized by windows 10

Hello!I just upgraded from win 7 to win 10 in 2020 because of end of community support for win 7.I am facing problem with ps/2 mouse. I am using this mouse from 7-8 years.In 2020 I purchased new usb mouse.When I plugged my

USB mouse after unboxing it,it works and at the same time I plugged my old ps2 mouse in my pc's ps2 port.Ps2 mouse also works at that time.

I am able to use my both mouse on (acer)desktop at that time.everything working fine.but after passing 2-3 months the ps2 mouse is not working.But my usb mouse working fine.When I plug ps2 mouse,windows 10 doesnt even recognize my ps2 mouse.In device manager
only my usb mouse is displayed and ps2 mouse is not displayed.Before 2-3 months ago when i purchased new usb mouse.At that time both mouse are displayed in device manager.But now my computer only detect usb mouse not ps2.I also know that ps2 mouse must plugged
before booting that bios have to detect it.i also done this but it doesn't work.

Please help me to solve this issue.
