Windows 10: My touchscreen has stopped working.

My touchscreen has stopped working out of the blue. I have gone onto device manager and have noticed a yellow ! next to 'Intelr precise touch and stylus intelr pts -base driver - port #1'. It says that it cannot start and it is a code 10 error. I have also noticed that the drivers which correlate to touchscreen are also missing, for example 'HID-compliant pen' and 'HID-compliant touchscreen'. I have tried everything from looking for updated drivers and troubleshooting but it seems windows hasn't updated these drivers so I cannot replace them. However, I have rolled back my windows 11 sy

Touchscreen stopped working -driver missing from laptop

Touchscreen Stopped Working

Hi,

I have had my Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga for just over a year. A few weeks ago, the touchscreen stopped responding. After an hour or so of using only the mousepad, the touchscreen started working again, and then it stopped again the next day. The touchscreen briefly
worked again for a few days afterwards, but has not worked for almost two weeks.

There had been no updates before the touchscreen first stopped working, so I figured that couldn't have been the issue. I checked for updates, and found a couple; after updating, the touchscreen still did not work. I have tried restarting the laptop, updating
the HID-compliant touch screen driver (no updates found), and reinstalling the driver. Nothing has worked.

I'm not sure if there's anything else I can try. I haven't dropped the laptop or done anything else that might have damaged it, so I'm not sure what the issue might be. Are there any other suggestions that might help me get the touchscreen working again?
Might this be related to some sort of update problem?
