Windows 10: My TUF A15 Screen just went black after unplugging and restarted

So I just bought this laptop recently and the battery health is still at 99.8 percent and I was just gonna turn off my laptop but when I unplugged the charger first the screen went black I assumed it was just gonna return back to 60hz refresh rate because It was on auto but instead it went black and it just was not showing anything. There was still power because the light on the power was still on and it just restarted after. Is this a sign of a faulty battery?

Thanks so much for this! Was facing a similar issue also with my new asus tuf a15 - download mbps was about 1/4 of speed tests on other devices. Gaming was a struggle. I did all three of the steps above + the power management suggested previously. Fixed!

 

Repeated crashes and BSOD on ASUS TUF A15

Have a TUF A15 2020 model. Same issues.

Found one thing to try. I will see how long it runs without crashing/freezing.

1. Search in Windows 10 for “change resolution of the display”
   
2. Click near the bottom, “Graphic Settings”
   
3. Then click “Choose an app to set performance”
   
4. Then find Chrome.exe under Program Files (x86), Google, Chrome, Application and “Add”
   
5. Select the newly added Google Chrome
   
6. Click “Options”
   
7. Select “High Performance”
   

 

Unknown cause of BSOD/Black screen in a laptop (Asus A15)

select the proper model >> goto Driver and tools >> download the latest driver.

In this context, I want to tell you, I have an old TUF from 2019. And its WIFI is dead since last Windows update, no matter what I try it's not coming up, using external dongle since. ASUS TUF series is not as reliable as they boast. Plus, you may have heard recent Asus affairs related to their support, hopefully.
