Windows 10: my tv no longer sees my laptop hdmi port

finished watching a movie on tv, in the morning the television does not see my laptops hdmi port. during the night an auto update may have been installed on this brand new laptop. my other laptop is recognized by the television.

My laptop wont connect to my TV's HDMI DVI port

I have had an ongoing problem recently with my laptop, which has been connecting to my tv fine for a few months, recently stopped detecting my TV and my TV started displaying a 'NO SIGNAL' message.

I have tried connecting as a projector, altering resolution, pressing 'FN' and 'F8' together and checked my drivers were up to date, however, none of these seems to work and no suggestions online help.

I know it is nor my TV outputs or my HDMI cable as I have used them else where and with other laptops however I cannot seem to change anything on my laptop to get it to work.

When I go on to INTEL GRAPHICS AND MEDIA in the control panel it says 'TV setting are not supported'????

I have a ASUS laptop model: N55S (WINDOWS 10)

and

a Samsung TV with 2 HDMI ports, one DVI and one STB.

I would be extremely grateful for suggestions and help hopefully solving this problem.

My TV is not detected when I connect to my laptop through Thunderbolt/HDMI cable

I have a laptop with Thunderbolt(Mini Display Port) and ofcourse TV has HDMI port. Si I bought a Thunderbolt to HDMI cable and connected the devices but TV is just not showing up when I press Detect.

Now, this laptop is not having any issues when I connect it with my external monitor, its just the TV which is not being detected.

• My laptop is a Lenovo T440s Windows 10
  
• TV is Samsung LCD 1080p
  
• Now, my laptop connects to other external monitor fine
  
• While TV also works fine with other devices like Roku very fine.
  
• its just the combination of laptop and TV is something that is not working at all.

All I see is No Signal when I turn on the TV and choose the port from laptop

Connecting laptop running windows 10 to hdtv with hdmi

I'm not very tech savvy.

• I know how to run the HDMI cable between laptop and tv.
• I know how to set my tv to use correct HDMI port.

What I need to know is how I tell my laptop to recognize my tv and configure it to use my tv as a monitor.

Anyone that can tell me step by step how to do this in windows 10?

Thanks for all the help. Hooked up the HDMI cable, plugged tv back in, started laptop up, switched the tv to correct HDMI port and viola...there was my laptop start screen on my tv! Didn't have to do anything but make a few display
adjustments!
