Windows 10: My University Forcing Me to Change My Pin

My computer is setup with my personal email, but I had to sign-in in word with my school email to use Microsoft office. Now my computer is saying "my organization needs me to change my PIN" to a 6-digit PIN, but I want to keep my 4-digit PIN. It says this while logging in with my personal Microsoft account not linked to my school email, but a personal one.

I tried to log into my laptop and was forced to change my PIN because "my organization required" it. This is a personal computer and shouldn't being run by anyone else but me. I was happy with my previous PIN and would like to change it back but can't
figure it out. Thanks for the help!

I suggest you to follow the below steps how to Change PIN password:

• In the search box, type settings.
• Then Click on accounts.
• Then on the left hand side click on sign in options.
• Then you can Select Change PIN password and remove the pin.

I suggest you to go through the below steps and check if it helps.

Follow these steps to set up a PIN on your Windows User Account:

• 
  Press the Windows +S key combination to display the Search box.
  
• 
  Type the word pin into the Search box, then click
  Set up PIN sign-in.
  
• 
  Find the “PIN” section and click the Add button.
  
• 
  Type in the password for your User Account, then click the
  Ok button.
  
• 
  Select and enter a 4 digit numeric pin, then enter it again for confirmation.
  
• 
  Exit the PIN setup utility.
  

From now on you’ll be able to log in to your Windows account by entering your 4 digit PIN instead of your password.



You can change your PIN at any time by following the steps below:

• 
  Press the Windows +S key combination to display the Search box.
  
• 
  Type the word pin into the Search box, then click Set up PIN sign-in.
  
• 
  Find the “PIN” section and click the Change button.
  
• 
  Enter your Windows password, then click the
  Ok button.
  
• 
  Select and enter a new 4 digit numeric pin, then enter it again for confirmation.

  Click the Finish button.
  
• 
  Exit the PIN setup utility.
