    Progress installing the Windows 10 November update stops responding at 92%

    I experienced a similar problem as already reported earlier for migrating to Windows 10: The installation process stops at 92% while updating configuration and never (=not within 2 hours) resumes.

    Earlier problem solutions were

    • press the sleep button twice, and update resumes
    • remove all USB plugs and sticks, such as mouse and keyboard, and updates also resumes
    at the moment, I don't yet know whether this works; i'll try again Wednesday, 2-Dec-2015. I'm curious about any other similar observation

    FIXED!! Windows 7 sp1 never ends searching for updates

    Yeah, I've been noting it for months on the refusenik thread. They do NOT want anything older than 10 running.

    I still have an HTPC on W7, and every other month I have to fix the update agent in order to get all updates. SMH....

    You provided a good step by step fix. I've bookmarked it for future reference.
