Windows 10: My USB connected mouse keeps crashing

My USB connected mouse keeps crashing with the message that the USB has malfunctioned and that Windows does not recognise the USB. It cuts out for a few seconds and then starts up again. I have tried different ports, uninstalling and reinstalling, restarting the computer and undertaking all the latest updates. This problem hasn't always been there, it is just recently after the Microsoft Edge update. Is there a fix for this problem? The mouse is an expensive gaming mouse and seems to work in other computers without issue. Please help, it is so frustrating especially when trying to work from home.

Hello. My Logitech m325 wireless mouse doesn't connect to the pc. I have downloaded the unifying software to connect it. The software detects the Logitech usb. However, when I get to the step where I restart the mouse to connect, it doesn't connect and doesn't detect it. I have restarted the pc and I have restarted the mouse correctly. The mouse battery is okay as well. Please help.
