Windows 10: My USB is somehow not working, instead has a new name VLI product string?

I searched and asked for help, but this USB and computer is just not working. The problem is, this USB could be used on this computer yesterday. I've already got this USB for two years and it was working until today. When I turned on my computer this morning, my computer wanted to delete the USB! Saying it's VLI String.If this USB only had like less than sixty gigabits, I would be more than happy to buy a new one. Unfortunately, this USB has more than 150 gigabits and really need to have it. It would take me three days without using this computer to download all these stuff. Hope there's a way

The 'VLI product string' error indicates there is most likely a hardware problem with the controller on that drive, have you tried connecting that drive to another PC to see if the drive works on that PC?

i have an hard disk of my laptop and i need to use it as an external hard disk so,i ordered an lenevo 3.0 hard disk enclosure and when tried to connecting the enclosure with hard disk with my laptop it is not showing in my computer and in the task manager it is coming as VLI Product string.i am not able to access the harddisk.Can u please give me a Suggestion how to make it work?

I had an old Windows desktop PC. I found a Toshiba HDD inside it. I connected the HDD to my laptop PC with a USB-SATA cable, but the HDD is not displayed as a disk, even in Disk Management. Instead, it's displayed as "VLI product string" in Devices and Printers. In Device Manager, there's a problem with the "USB Mass Storage Device" entry, with code 10 and the message "Error starting the device." I updated all the drivers; the PC says that there are better drivers available. I reinstalled the common ones, but nothing changed. I'm out of ideas. If someone more experienced can help me, I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance.
