    My user folder became Documents folder after I tried moving Documents from OneDrive


    I use two OneDrive accounts: personal and a study one. After getting a new laptop, for some reason, my default Documents folder became the one inside my University OneDrive, which is quite inconvenient. I tried moving the Documents folder from OneDrive to my own user folder. Instead, my user folder has renamed itself to Documents and now I can't edit it. Inside it, I still have OneDrive folders which still have the Documents folder inside which I initially tried to move. Please see the screenshot: the Documents folder you see used to be my user folder. However, in the network path it still say

    OneDrive documents folder and the real documents folder.


    I didn't find an answer to this exact question. Windows 10 Home 1511 x64 clean install. In the left pane of File Explorer there is a Documents folder which points to my OneDrive folder and contains almost nothing (just a few folders that programs created). Under my username there are two Documents folders; one points to the OneDrive folder and one points to the Documents folder user Users\Me. I tried to set the location of the OneDrive folder in its properties and move everything. Access was denied.

    I'm the owner of both folders.

    Why I have TWO Documents folders?

    ok so lemme start off my saying i recently wiped my system and installed windows 10
    and i noticed even more recently that i seem to have TWO documents folders...
    i have one that has nothing that it should in it and the other somehow is linked to Onedrive...
    the onedrive linked one has everything that the non onedrive should. (game saves, etc)
    my question is...why? is this normal cause i can't imagine it is...
    i don't think steam game save cloud will work with onedrive so i need to know, is this fixable WITHOUT another wipe? i have no idea how my onedrive got synced with my documents folder. i didn't set it up that way. any help is appreciated!

    Windows Fax & Scan cannot access Documents folder?

    Have been messing with user accounts?
    Removing and adding again Windows Fax'n'scan did not help?
    It uses some folders like "incoming faxes" etc in My documents. As that program is very old maybe it doesn't "know" were you moved Your My Documents folder.
