    Windows User Profile name truncated to 5 characters

    Dear Team,

    I have purchased a new laptop with Windows 10. After I configured my windows with Microsoft Account, the user profile name truncated to 5 characters, even if I try to change I can't do.

    Please let me know how to change the user profile name in my computer for the Microsoft account.

    No worries.

    You can only download to, or open documents from, your own user profile, which is here:

    C:\Users\your user account name

    For example, you can download PDFs to C:\Users\your user account name\Downloads

    and you can open documents from C:\Users\your user account name\Documents

    I have noticed the same thing, I configured my newly re-installed Windows while logged in to my Microsoft account, and my User Profile has defaulted to the first 5 characters of my email address. I am going to create a new user account/profile so I can
    just abandon the Microsoft account one, it is already causing problems. The set up screens should ask what the User profile is to be called, not just assume it is the same as your truncated email address.
