Windows 10: My Username

Discus and support My Username in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; The problem I have is with changing the username of the windows user.     My Username


    The problem I have is with changing the username of the windows user.
    What I am exactly talking about is the name displayed when you open up the task manager and go to Users.

    For some reason, even after changing the Windows account name, the Users folder name or even the actual User name on Windows, this name has not changed to what I want it to be, that being "Dorian"

    To narrow down the issue at hand, here are all of the places where the name has already been changed to "Dorian":
    - Control Panel > User Accounts
    - C:\Users > the user folder
    - Registery Editor

    The other reason I suggested this is that users can add characters to their username that are not alphanumeric (e.g. user*). This confuses things somewhat when looking at the list.

    Are you logged in with the Microsoft account or a local account?

    You can follow the steps below to change the username and check if it helps.

    • Press Windows key + X key.
    • Click on Control Panel.
    • Under view, select large icons.
    • Go to User Account.
    • Click on Manage another account.
    • Select the User Account for which you want to select the password.
    • Click on Change the username.
    • Click on Change Name button.
