    How do I get rid of it? I'm pretty sure it only makes sense for the cursor to show up in text input boxes, yet it shows up even on just a plaintext page, wherever I click.

    cursor not blinking problem

    it's not the mouse pointer that's the problem .

    it's the vertical line that blinks.

    the question below sent by someone else in december is the exact problem i am having.
