Windows 10: My virus and threat protection has got permanently off

Hello!I was working on my PC and downloading and installing some software when my PC suddenly started to act strangely and it opened and closed some files and Windows PowerShell automatically. Some commands automatically executed in the PowerShell and Boom!! My virus and threat protection turned automatically off. Now, I cannot turn it back on, I am unable to perform scans and I cannot even perform any action related to Windows security. Please help!!!!Note: I do not have any antivirus software installed and I have tried all the solutions proposed in previous posts on similar topic.

As an alternative approach, you can allow that utility through the Controlled Folder Access section of WIndows 10 security . . .

Open Windows Defender Security Center

Go to Virus & threat protection - Virus & threat protection settings

Scroll down to Controlled folder access

From there, you can add Dell Data Vault to the list of safe or allowed apps to prevent it from being blocked

Please do not leave Controlled Folder Access turned off permanently

Virus and threat protection has stopped and will not restart, Windows 10 ver 1709, antimalware client ver 4.12.16299.15 . SuperAntiSpyware installed.

I have tried most of the suggestions from the support pages, all have been ineffective. Any suggestions

Most likely this is the setting blocking you . . .

Open Windows Defender Security Center

Go to Virus & threat protection - Virus & threat protection settings

Scroll down to Controlled folder access

Temporarily turn off Controlled Folder Access and check to see if you can install those apps

Please do not leave Controlled Folder Access turned off permanently
