Windows 10: My volume stays constant, and I can't change it with my slider

So, for some reason, my volume slider decided to stop working and whenever I click the only output that works, I can't change the volume, the volume stays constant, like it's been locked in place or something, the slider itself works, but the volume is locked in place. I tried to update all of my audio devices and drivers but it says they're all up to date. So I really don't know what to do, I'm on Windows 10, and I wear wired headphones... I hope I can fix this

Volume slider does not change the level of loudness

Hi! I've been experiencing that my laptop volume slider does not work. It doesn't change it volume it only stays at 100% volume even it is only set to 2%, but when i mute the volume the sounds will be muted. It does not let me to change the loudness of my volume. Does any one of you experience this type of problem and how to fix it? I'd already factory reset my device still no changes.

 

Windows volume sliders move but no change in volume

I have a Dell Inspiron laptop running windows 10. If I change the windows volume sliders either for the application or the system,then No change in volume occurs , except for the mute when I go to zero volume. If I use the in application volume control for Netflix and spottify then I can control the volume. So can anyone suggest anything. In particular I want the dell laptop function keys for volume to work so if there is a way to get the dell laptop keys to control the settings of the application that may be ok.
I have updated every driver and bios update both from windows update and dell

 

Changing volume using Windows 10 volume slider vs changing volume in media player

What are the differences in the quality of sound output when the volume is changed in the following environments:

• Windows 10 volume slider in bottom-right corner
  
• Media program such as VLC player when playing a music file
  
• Media program such as Spotify when streaming music
  

Is there any difference between the 3, e.g., would turning down the volume using Windows 10 volume slider be any different from turning down the volume using the VLC inbuilt volume slider?
