    My W10 1809 x 64 is behind on Updates, how far should I update & how ?

    I'm running W10 1809 x64 and I didn't get an Cumulative Updates - March 10th 2020 Patch Tuesday, but I see from other question in this forum that some are having alot of issues with this update, so that maybe a blessing, however I want to bring my Laptop up to date as much as I can..

    Looking through your Windows 10 Update history :

    My OS build is 17763.1039 which is KB4532691 from 11th February.

    so am I right in saying I'm missing KB4537818 from 25/2 taking me to OS Build 17763.1075 Could this be why I didn't get offered kb4538461 on March's Patch Tuesday ………………………would it be wise for me to get KB4537818 from the Microsoft Catalogue ? And wait until all the issues in KB4538461 sorted and not get that from the Catalogue ? or KB4541331 from 17th March either.

    Before I attempt to install KB4537818 should I go for the latest SSU KB4539571 ?

    I want to get up to date as much as possible without getting the issues others have from the March 10th Update. I can't risk not having my Laptop even for one day not working in the current crisis.

    The last Update I had installed was on 19/2 was 2019-12 KB4023057

    Thanks for any help,

    Paul

    :)

  2. W10 1809 to 1903 update

    Lenovo ThinkCentre E73, I have updated from W10 1809 to 1903 and the PC has now gone really slow and having issues with admin rights, I have chkdsk'd and scannow'd' but no issues found. Tried an inplace update in case windows was corrupted and get the
    message some hardware on this PC is incompatible with 1903 update. Can anyone shed any light in these issues please. I have had to revert to 1809 to make the PC usable again. Any suggestions please ? Microsoft have said Lenovo are responsible and Lenovo have
    said Microsoft is responsible, which does not help me one bit.

    Intel Readies P55 Chipset B3 Stepping Update

    Intel's is readying a hardware update for its P55 Express chipset, currently the only core-logic for the company's brand new socket LGA-1156 processor platform. The new B3 stepping of the P55 PCH will bring with it a little more than new MM number and S-spec numbers. A list of changes is as follows:
    • New MM number and S-spec numbers for the converted products;
    • Firmware and minor BIOS updates are required with the conversion;
    • Processor MRC/microcode update required to enable future processors;
    • Recommended storage driver upgrade from Intel MSM 8.9 to Intel RST 9.5.
    Although it is listed that the MRC update enables 'future processors', Intel, in a statement issued to X-bit labs assured that the current B2 stepping of the chipset (found on current socket LGA-1156 motherboards) does not leave out support for any of Intel's new LGA-1156 processors that are slated for release in the very near future. The dual-core "Clarkale" 32 nm processor will be supported by both B2 and B3 steppings of the chipset.

    P55 B3 stepping is pin-identical to P55 B2, and hence motherboard vendors will not have to come up with new designs. Sampling of the new stepping began as early as on October 02, 2009, and it is scheduled for shipment to manufacturers by the 7th of December, 2009. P55 is the performance core-logic for the LGA-1156 platform. It supports Core i5 and Core i7 "Lynnfield" processors with discrete graphics.

    Update Realtemp

    As was said, the GT.exe file was for Gulftown processors with 6c, that is the best you will get.

    It does not need to be updated for W10 Fall Creators' update. It works just fine there.
