Windows 10: My webcam microphone isn't working

I recently bought an external USB webcam.

The camera on the webcam works, however, the Mic doesn't work.


The mic shows that it's connected, however, it doesn't detect any audio. I tried updating the drivers, I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them aswell. Nothing seemed to help.
However, when I connected it to another PC, it worked perfectly.

How do I get my webcam's microphone to work?

I am using Windows 8.1 (desktop), Chrome browser, and the camera on my webcam works perfectly but for some reason, the microphone isn't working. The webcam is a Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920. It has to be something wrong in the set-up but I just can't find
the problem. I've gone into every place I can think of and made sure "Allow Camera" is on. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Your concern description is conclusive to drivers issue. Let's get ourselves on the same page. Usually, there's an error message to show up when you're trying to use it and not working. If you get any, send us a screenshot. We would also like to know the
following:

• Are you using the built-in webcam and microphone or external ones?
• Have you made any modifications/configurations on your computer prior to the issue?
  
• What are the troubleshooting steps you've done so far?
