    I cannot use my Wi-Fi for some reason. I'm getting the following errors in Device Manager with my Wi-Fi adapter: "This device cannot start. Code 10 {Operation Failed} The requested operation was unsuccessful." and then "Currently, this hardware device is connected to the computer COde 45. To fix this problem, reconnect the hardware device to the computer." once I restart my PC. This is a built-in Wi-Fi adapter because I have an ASUS TUF GAMING B650 PLUS. I also keep getting a black screen with a spinning loading circle and then a blue screen that says "Please wait" with another loading cir

    Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter #2 - Code 45


    Recently I've installed the new windows 10 version 1511 update, everything seems to be working fine except for one thing.

    This would be my "Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter #2" driver, because prior to the installation of the new update it was working just fine. It seems that is not the case now, as windows claims that it's not functioning properly and has given it a "code 45" flag.

    Is there anyway to fix this, or this a problem that's inherent with the new update and can only be fixed by its developers later?

    Any advice on my situation would be appreciated, thank you.

    I shall also provide pictorial examples to to better express my issue.

    Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter gives Code 45 error

    Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter gives Code 45 error: "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer"

    I've found several articles on the web which I've tried without success. One suggestion was to choose "Disable Device" and then reboot. My button is greyed out in the Driver tab of this device. "Update Driver" button says there isn't any better driver.
    If I remove it and reboot or rescan, it doesn't come back. I had to do a system remote to get it to show again in Device Manager. I must show hidden devices to view it when it is there. Any suggestions on fixing this? I also uninstalled my Intel wireless
    card device and when I rescan it comes back and wifi works fine in general. Virtual driver still has code 45.

    Because it's a virtual adapter there is nothing to comment like the warning suggests.
