Windows 10: My wi-fi stops working every few minutes and needs to be disconnected and reconnected to...

My phone and TV have no issue. My internet works fine normally, but every few minutes it stops working and displays the exclamation mark. If I disconnect and reconnect the network, it works again for several minutes before it stops working again. Please help. I have found no online help because this is a very unusual issue.

Wi-Fi stops working until disconnected and reconnected

I have a desktop running Windows 10 and the Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 7265 card. The drivers for the wireless card are fully updated.

My problem is, after using being connected to the Wi-Fi for anywhere from a few seconds to a few hours, it stops working and doesn't start working again unless you wait around 5-10 minutes, or you disconnect and reconnect to the network, where it starts working again instantly. It is extremely annoying to have to disconnect and reconnect from the network, especially if it stops working just a few seconds later. It occurs with every Wi-Fi network I've tried (I took it to a friends house once and it had the same issues).

I have run Windows Network Diagnostics when it acts up and it resets the Wi-Fi adapter (which fixes the problem as well temporarily) or finds nothing.

Does anyone know the cause of this? As I've said, the drivers are fully updated, and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers as well as adjusting the antenna positioning on the case, and neither have solved the issue.

 

Wi-Fi disconnect

Windows doesn't disconnect a properly working WiFi. Mine NEVER disconnects since the last time I restarted my computer. I suggest to check for near-by WiFi radios to see if your channel is too crowded or if all the channels are crowded, just switch to 5 GHz band like mine

 

Printer disconnects from Wi-Fi

Part of an older post 10 Sep 2018 , at the time we were happy that the PC issue was fixed.
The printer was not the main issue.

The wi-fi connected printer get disconnected from Wi-Fi for no apparent reason.
Both of our pc's still have the wi-fi connection.
The only way to re-establish the wi-fi connection to the printer is to disconnect and reconnect the power line.
Once the connection with printer is re-established, we can repeatedly print again until we stop and the printer sits idle for a night, then the process starts over again.
I did reinstall the software, but to no avail.
In the event viewer it states to see trace logging, but I don't know how to find it.
