Windows 10: My widget icon and the selection in settings are gone after the latest Dev channel update

After the most recent update from the Dev Channel Update Stack Package - Version 1101.2302.18011.3, the widget icon on my taskbar disappeared. I went into Settings. Personalization, Taskbar, and "Widget' is not available selections. Any suggestions?

Leaving Dev Channel

Release of 22H2 on Sep. doesn't help you to leave Dev channel since it will be build 22621 and current Dev channel build is 25188. You can't go backward in build numbers. Your only way out of Dev channel is clean install of released Windows version.

This is explained in release announcement of every new Dev channel build.

Build numbers are higher in the Dev Channel than the Windows 11 preview builds in the Beta and Release Preview Channels. You will not be able to switch from the Dev Channel to the Beta or Release Preview Channels without doing a clean install back to the released version of Windows 11 currently.

Latest build Edge Dev

They (microsoft rep) explained that the first weekly update had been skipped for Dev channel and this first one wasn't quite ready but they did manage to get it going to release thursday evening...They mentioned they are taking steps to try to avoid those delays in the future but they might ocassionally happen...When they do the weekly update, it should usually bring it up to the latest Canary build...

So we should be ok now...going forward as far as Edge Dev channel updates... *Smile
