Windows 10: My wife logged in to her Microsoft account, now to get into my PC my wife's credentials are...

My PC is running Windows 11. On my PC my wife logged in to her Microsoft account to update a payment credit card. Now to get into my PC my wife's credentials are requested. She appears to be now the Administrator of my PC. How do I rectify this?

want Wife’s account to show up at Windows Log in

I just set up an HP computer for my wife. When the computer boots, it shows my account and asks for my pin. I added my wife as a family member, but that didn’t change the login screen. The old laptop is working properly showing wife’s account for login
and I am an administrator. On the new machine, I show up on login and am an administrator also.

what are the steps to have wife’s account as primary on this new laptop?

 

My wife cannot login. We have separate accounts. She cannot correct or renew her password.

I understand that your wife is having some problems with her account. Is your wife at the Windows logon screen, trying to log on to the system using her Microsoft account, but is unable to do so? Or is your wife using a local account to log in to the Windows system?



If your wife is using a Microsoft account to log on to the Windows system.

• Normally, you can log in with your Microsoft account at the Windows login screen. If you have forgotten your pin code, you can enter it as a password, and if you have forgotten your password, the page provides a "Forgot Password" option, which allows you to reset your password.
  
• From your description, it seems that the "Forgot Password" option does not exist in your screen? Would you be comfortable sharing a screenshot of your interface with me in a reply?
  

If your wife uses a local account to log in to Windows



Since the local account is not associated with any identity information, it is not possible to retrieve the password directly.

• Have you previously created a password reset disc for your wife's local account?Create a password reset disk for a local account in Windows - Microsoft Support
  

• If you have not previously made a password reset disc, can you log on to the system using another account with administrator privileges? If you can currently use another account to log on to your Windows system, you can change the password for your wife's account by following these steps.
  

1. Hold down win+R and type lusrmgr.msc.
   
2. Find your wife's account in Local Users and right click to change the password.
   
   Please note: In order to protect the security of your account, when you change the password using this method, the encrypted files and saved passwords etc. in your wife's account will disappear.
   
   Although this step will make passwords etc. saved in encrypted files in your wife's local account disappear, it is the only option in this scenario.

Wife's desktop PC BSOD

The Wife sent me this pic of BSOD on her PC running Windows 10 Pro, Ver 10.0.19044 She said she was streaming on one monitor while browsing on the other when the blue screen popped up.

She recently installed a new SSD and did a fresh install. I'm uploading the V2 logs collector that I ran on her computer. Could someone determine the cause of the crash and possible steps required to prevent future issues? TIA.
