My wifi connectivity mbps has gone down significantlyfrom 400mbps to 3after switching...

I've tried using the troubleshooters for networks, and ive tried removing some high GB applications, and updated the backlogged updates that i have, but it doesnt help with the wifi problem. Do i need to keep searching for more updates or delete more applications?P.s. It started after i started playing certain games like overwatch, valorant and it kept rubber-banding me.I have been thinking about a factory reset. Would that help as well?

    :)

  2. Ethernet Link Speed at 10 Mbps

Hello, I have been having some slow ethernet. I went through the settings and in the properties for mt connection it says the link speed (transmit/receive) is at 10/10 Mbps. When I try wifi its capped at 520 Mbps but its very unstable most of the time, so I want to use ethernet. Here is some information about my situation:

I would really appreciate additional ideas on how to fix this problem.

    Thanks

  3. USB WiFi Adapter Frequently Drops Connection

Hi, thanks for the list of potential fixes. I've tried everything you suggested and unfortunately it had only made things worse.

After running the commands you listed, I was still experiencing intermittent connection issues and my download speed now seemed to be capped at 20 Mbps instead of hovering between 15-30 Mbps. I had thought it was the "netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled" command that would have possibly limited the download speed but even after setting the value to "normal" it still persisted. I wasn't running on a metered connection, and the speed in the WiFi status lists a maximum of 130 Mbps. My ethernet connection wasn't affected and still managed to keep a steady 70 Mbps.

I also did a soft-boot like you suggested, but unfortunately even after disabling all of the apps on start-up nothing changed in regards to the download speed or the connection dropping.

I managed to rollback to a system restore point that was made a few days ago (but still made after I started having issues with my driver), so there's no harm done. At this point I would be prepared to do a fresh install of Windows 10 if you think there aren't any other solutions that would be more convenient than that. I appreciate your help.

Also, just to clarify I am the original poster of this thread despite having a different account. After performing the system restore my recently saved passwords were lost and the account I made to post this question with was gone with it.

When will the wifi connectivity problems be solved?

OK, so the Windows 10 engineers bollixed up the wifi connectivity part of the operating system. Everybody knows that by now. It seems they are making some progress in resolving it. Now, instead of seeing "Secured, No Internet" on your list of wifi connections, you see "Connected, Secured" EXCEPT no webpages will load. So you really aren't connected. It does seem to be a step in the right direction. Does anybody know when they plan on a full and complete repair of this screw up of epic proportions?
