    My Wifi is disconnected when the internet goes down and then it does not reconnect...


    Lately, if the internet goes down, the wifi disconnects and says "action required". I'm using the default connection manager built into Windows, so I don't have any third-party apps that cause this problem. Are there any settings to enable and Always keep the connection?

    Router disconnects from internet and reconnects

    My router has been acting up lately. Its been disconnecting from the internet and eventually reconnects overtime. But the disconnect happens so frequently, its annoying and I've reverted to asking for help.

    Harsh Lag and Disconnects Past Couple of Weeks

    I just got disconnected from the Internet. I have pictures of the list and grid but am unable to upload from my PC until I get reconnected. The WiFi is also down. Modem is stuck on "Receive". Rebooted both modem and router to no avail.

    Anomalous WiFi Reconnection

    No idea what caused it, I too have once in a blue moon been 'secured' but no internet. Disconnect and reconnect is the usual fix.

    As to the password, if you have ever connected successfully in the past and had ticked 'automatically connect' then Windows would have remembered the connection and its password. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > WiFi and click 'Manage known networks' to see the list of stored connections. Click on one and you can 'Forget' it - then you'll be asked for a password next time you connect.
