Windows 10: My wifi is not working and the wifi option in the control panel is gone along with anything...

I have searched online for multiple ways to fix this issue, but they are mostly the same and many of the steps have to do with things that are not showing up because they have been deleted or have disappeared. This issue started when I got an error that said "The instructions at 0x00007FFEE2BC7BC3 referenced memory at 0x0000000000000000. The memory could not be read." Then i tried opening chrome and the wifi completely disappeared. I factory reset my laptop and searched for ways to fix this issue and none have worked.

Wifi/Device Manager/Settings/Control Panel Stop Working Until reboot

So, this happens about every twenty minutes while using my PC, I can leave it alone for hours and come back and it will be fine then happen soon after.

The system apps like device manager/Settings/Control panel stop working and have problems and I cannot connect to the wifi.

checklist of things I've tried/know

• Wifi adapter is on max performance
• SFC, no problems
• Drives are healthy
• Activated windows
• Multiple scans with Mbam
• WIFI is working on my other laptops

This method often works

1) in Settings switch WI-FI OFF
2) in control panel (still works !! --right mouse click on start button -->hardware--devices--network_adapters -- select DISABLE.
3) (Optional step but it's better to do it) - re-boot computer
4) Back to control panel now RE-ENABLE the wifi adapter
5) back to settings - set wifi switch to ON

Now you should see a list of local Wi-Fi networks including yours
6) Connect.

Ensure also you haven't got anything near your laptop which could interfere with Wifi signal such as microwave ovens, TV senders etc etc.

Bitlocker menu in Control Panel is gone!!!!!

Hi,

From the above screenshot I see that you are not able to access or see the Bitlocker Drive Encryption in Control Panel, i suggest you to change the view of the Control panel and then check if you are able to access or view it.

Follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Type Control Panel in the Search bar and then Enter.
• Select the View by options in the upper right pane.
• In Category select the small icons and then check if you can view the Bitlocker Drive Encryption option.
