Windows 10: My WiFi Media has been disconnected

For the past couple of days, my laptop had been disconnecting from the WiFi and when I go to settings, it had just disappeared and I have to restart my laptop.After restart it works for a min or 2 and same issue arises again.Things I've tried I have done a network reset.I have disabled and enable the network adapter I have tried installing a new driverI have tried the command prompt codes from https://thegeekpage.com/media-disconnected-error-message-on-windows-10/I have tried 'Get Help' it gives an error message about not having the appropriate app or soI saw a post about uninstalling the KB50

• If you have an identical laptop try comparing the wifi and security settings of the one that does not disconnect with the one that does. If you find any differences change the settings of the one that does not work to the one that does.

• If you do not have an identical laptop see this post and the three replies for possible solutions: Wifi disconnects every 5 minutes.

Media disconnected and cannot connect to anything

Hi,

I tried all the steps. When i was doing this

• Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
• Type netsh int ip reset and press Enter.
• Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
• Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
• Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.

In the third step, ipconfig/ rease no operations can be performed as media is disconnected. This error comes for Bluetooth, wlan and wifi all.

I tried troubleshooting network adapter also but in vain.

Please let me know the next steps.

 

Window 10 wifi issue media disconnected

I have a Dell Laptop Vostro 3555 with a Dell wireless 1701 802.11b/g/n network adapter made by Broadcom. The Device status: this device is working properly. This was a window 7 moved to a window 10. And I am not getting any X's of yellow signs in device manager.

Issue: The WiFi will not turn on. Will not show any access points to connect to.

What I have tried in order to fix the issue:

• 1. Download new driver from dell
     
  2. [Function key] + F2
     
  3. can not do ipconfig /release ../renew because it says Media disconnected
     
  4. Wireless properties > Power Management > UNCHECK allow computer to turn off device to save power
     
  5. Tried kb3084164 issue Computer that has VPN software installed can't detect wireless network after upgrading to Windows 10 - Microsoft Support
     

It might just me a bad card? What other steps can I perform to solve the issue before opening up the laptop.
