Windows 10: My wifi stutters, making discord calls and videogames highly inconsistent. How can I fix this?

I have had issues with my network connection for a while now. On discord calls, my ping will shoot up every few minutes and in games I will rubber band and have terrible packet loss. I use a usb WIFI adapter that has worked well until recently. I have followed this thread and nothing has fixed my issue.

In order to fix Discord lagging and voice connection issues, please try the following steps:

Step 1: The hardware acceleration feature manages your system resources more efficiently. It reduces CPU usage by reassigning certain tasks to the graphics card.

=> In Discord, go to Settings.

=> From the APP SETTINGS list, select Voice & Video.

=> Turn off the toggle next to Hardware Acceleration.

Step 2: Run Discord in Compatibility Mode

=> Close the Discord app by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ESC and right-clicking on Discord, then End Task.

=> Right-click your Discord icon.

=> Choose properties.

=> Select the Compatibility Tab

=> Check the option to Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 8

=> Click Apply. Next, click OK.

=> Try to rerun Discord.

If the issue, persists, please try to uninstall and reinstall the Discord app.
