  1. My Wifi/WLAN card has gone insane

    Hi everyone,

So I have this windows 10 Acer Aspire laptop since 2017 and a few months ago the Wifi... stopped existing on it. Just gone. One day I had it, the next I couldn't connect to anything anymore. My reaction was to go on Google, type in "Windows 10 wifi not appearing" and try every. Single. Trick.

So I went through a whole week of entering command prompts, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers for my WLAN card, updating stuff, updating a lot of stuff, updating a REAL lot of stuff, and most importantly crying in front of my PC and begging for it to just freaking connect right now, etc etc and nothing worked at all. So I brought a USB WLAN card and it worked fine, except that it is infuriating as you can imagine.

And then one day, two months later I realized I could connect again. I suppose a Windows update has done the trick.

And what happened ten minutes ago? It has ceased functioning again My Wifi/WLAN card has gone insane :D

Well actually, it could connect to my phone's wifi share yesterday and it displayed many neighbor wifis, and today it is only displaying one, with a weird name to add insult to injury.

So my question is: has anyone encountered a similar problem, and if so, where could it originate (knowing I have uninstalled the WLAN card drivers and reinstalled them several times, and it hasn't fixed the problem).

Could it be a bad configuration? Should I install functionality update 2004?

Also my WLAN Card is a Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377... I That could help

Just added this bad boy to the list! Insanely good sound card allows for maximum audio quality from BF3. Good to hear foot steps. All in all just a bad @55 card

    Wifi gone

We suggest that you try to delete the old network connection profile, start the service, and create a new profile. To delete a wireless network profile in Windows 10, follow these steps:

    • Click the Network icon located at the lower right corner of your screen.
    • Click Network settings.
    • Click Manage Wi-Fi settings.
    • Under Manage known networks, click the network you want to delete.
    • Click Forget.

    Note: You may also type
netsh wlan show profiles in the
Command Prompt to manage and delete wireless network profiles.

    Regards.
