Windows 10: My win 11 installed on hp laptop from some time not recognize every external hd on usb ports

As the title i'm not able to use any external memory device on usb porte of my daughter laptop hp.It worked well but one day it not worked more.I'm sure that usb port is working well because i put in a external mouse and it work.The hd appear in device manager,but not as hd but as generic device.Needs to say that i'm not able to install tried it many timeswin update kb5016691 Thanks in advance for any helpsorry for my orrible English

I can not format laptop HP Pavilion 15t-eg0000 from external bootable

I have some issue on the windows of my new laptop.
I downloaded WIN 10 iso file from Microsoft website then attached to the external USB via RUFUS app.
The USB is bootable and recognized by the laptop but the local drive is not showing on the list of the drive.
Is this a new security step on the BIOS?
Please help me to sort out this issue.

We want to know more about the issue you're having with your USB port not recognizing a USB flash drive or any external device. Please provide answers to the questions below:

• Can you tell us if this concern happen after an update?
• Have you check the PC's Device Manager under Universal Series Bus, if you have a yellow exclamation point? If yes please provide a screenshot for us to have a better understanding of the issue.
• Are the USB flash drive and external device working on a different PC?
