Windows 10: My win 11 Laptop freezes for a bit and make a buzzing sound at a random time then goes back...

Computer freezes with buzzing sound on freshly installed Win 10 2004.

Razer BlackWidow Ultimate is listed 3 times in Device Manager:

Is it normal that I can see it 3 times? Both drivers under Keyboards and Mice and other pointing devices seems to be delivered by Microsoft. The last one is delivered by Razer.

Razer's FAQ suggests that Razer devices should be listed under Human Interface Devices:



which makes me think that Windows could've installed those other drivers before I've installed Razer Synapse.

rzudd.sys is called "Razer Mouse Driver" for some reason:




I'm using Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro USB sound card for my audio device. On-Board audio is off in the bios atm.




I've installed both "Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro Software" (19th November 2019) which includes:



& "Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro Drivers" (14th September 2020) after Windows installation.

What is the best way to uninstall the Creative drivers? Is it enough to uninstall all of those Creative related things through Programs & Features?




Few days ago while uninstalling Nvidia drivers with DDU I saw that there is an option to uninstall Creative drivers as well. Is it safe to use?

 

Random buzzing sound and freeze

Hi,

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

AMD FX 8320E (8-core) with 16 GB RAM

MSI 970A-G46 with onboard Realtek audio

NVidia GeForce GT 710

This is a brand new installation (not an upgrade), less than 1 week old.

There is a random buzzing sound during audio playback, not repeatable or predictable. However, the PC can also freeze up with a sustained buzzing sound (I've tried to leave it for 10 min and it did not recover).

Device manager showed both Realtek and Nvidia High Definition Audio. Realtek is connected to my PC speakers via 3.5 mm jack. Nvidia is connected to my TV via HDMI, but it's not in use.

Other threads have seen suggestion to delete the device driver and install the device again. So I've tried the following.

In Device Manager, uninstall the device, and choose to delete the driver software. Reboot, run with the default Microsoft driver. Problem remains

Reboot, install Realtek 6.0.1.7806 (latest on MSI website). Problem remains

Reboot, install nVidia 1.3.34.15 from 368.69-desktop-win10-64bit-international-whql. Problem remains.

At this point, I'm a bit lost. I can only think going back to Windows 7 as an option.

What else can I try?

Random total freeze with buzzing sound from speakers

There are no crash dump files included in the logs although your eventlog does show that you have had some recent 0x124 hardware related BSOD events. Other than giving you the generic troubleshooting approach for hardware related issues there is not a lot I can do to help.




STOP 0x124 Troubleshooting [/i] Read carefully before proceeding.



Warning

If you're overclocking your system, revert back to stock clocks now.

Note



MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.




THREE [/i] HDD TEST
*Arrow Run HDTune to

• check the health,
• scan for errors, no quick scan but full scan
• run a benchmark.

It may take some time, but please take the time you need to perform it properly.
When above is done please make screenshots of the following

• the health,
• the error scan,
• the benchmark incl. following
  • transfer rate,
  • access time,
  • burst rate,
  • cpu usage.

FOUR [/i] GPU TEST
*Arrow Run Furmark to stress test your GPU. FurMark - GPU Stress Test - Windows 10 Forums



Note Run Furmark for around 30 minutes.
