Windows 10: My Win 8 pro got upgraded to Win 10 home.Can i have still have Win 10 pro?

Hi!,

I got a new Dell 15 5558 4 years ago with a Win 8 professional pre-installed and I had it upgraded same day to Win 10.Unfortunately I didn't realize the upgrade was done to Win 10 home till some few days ago.Is there still anyway I can have it upgraded to Win 10 pro free of any cost?

Win 10 Pro upgrade using Win 8 Pro product key

I just bought a new computer running Win 10 Home. When I went to upgrade to Win 10 Pro using my Win 8 Pro product key from my old computer, the upgrade wouldn't activate.

Now I'm stuck with a bunch of error messages (mainly 0xC004C003) and am being told windows isn't activated. I can't seem to get my activated Win 10 Home back.

I don't have a product key for the Win 10 Home because it came pre-installed. There's no product code recorded on the packaging or labelling on the device.

So:

How do I either

• activate the Win Pro upgrade, or
• Get my activated Win 10 home back?

 

Upgrading windows 8 pro VL to win 10 Pro

i have a laptop with win 10 home, which comes with laptop. also i have a win 8 pro VL license. So can i install the win 8 to my laptop and upgrade it to win 10 pro? is it illegal to do?

once i installed win 8 pro and upgrade it to win 10 using the tool that Microsoft provide.

but end of the installation again i have win 10 home.

Please advise to solve this issue .

 

upgrade win 7 home to win 10 pro via unused win 8 pro key

My samsung laptop runs windows 7 home sp1 64-bit. I purchased a licensed dvd of win 8 pro under a promotional upgrade scheme but have not used it so far.

1. can I use the unused win 8 pro key to upgrade to win 10 pro
?

2. if the above upgrade is not feasible, then do i need to upgrade first to win 8 pro, then to win 8.1 before going on to win 10 pro
?

3. in any of these two scenarios, will i need to re-install the main apps, ie. ms-office 2010 and norton internet security. all other stuff i use is open source or freeware.
