Windows 10: My window camera stops recording at 2 sec, i followed some steps, It worked for 2-4 days...

My window camera stops recording at 2 sec, I tried the methods like resetting the camera app, uninstalling it and had to reinstall it through store { some said to use window powershell to uninstall and install- so installing didn't work}. It worked for 2-4 days then this problem occurred again i follwed the steps again but its not working! camera is mi webcam, and window 11 is currently in my mi notebook. please help .this is what I tried 2. Reset Camera app Right click on Windows Start > Apps & features > Scroll down and click Camera> Click Advanced options > Click Reset >

Video recording stops after 2 sec.

My Nokia C3 , recently updated to vs 04.60 , will not record longer than 2 sec and than stops.

In the right top corner of screen it says 00.02 , than when you press start it counts down to 00.00 and than stops. Next screen says Cannot Save this File ( or something like that because the txt is in a non english language ).

When you go to Videoclips I find this file for example

Video0001.swp

128 kB 12-10-10 and than a boxed ?

this I cannot open nor delete.....!

and I find another file

Video0002.3gp

256kB with a little frame of what I shot.

this I can open and view for 2 sec.



this means that although it said I cannot save it it does save the 2 sec recording , but

why isn't it possible to record video longer than 2 sec and why can i not delete swp files??

 

Steps Recorder there... but not there

I seemed to have been saved by a link to this fix:
Please use regedit to rename hklm\software\policies\microsoft\windows\AppCompat - changeAppCompat to AppCompat_HOLD . Then try launching PSR again.
Tried it and now Steps Recorder seems to be working as it should.
But to follow up on your suggestion, I'm going to try to find and repair the corrupt files that my sfc scan found... after setting a restore point!

Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. You are facing the above issue due to incompatibility of the program with Windows 10.



Use Steps recorder by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows logo key on the keyboard and type
  Steps recorder.
• Select the top most search result and check if you are able to use the programs.
