    My windows 10 flashing black when logged on? Can’t use settings/storr


    I have windows 10 and it all worked great until I clicked update and shutdown. Now yesterday I switched it back on, put in my password and it logged me in but then it started flashing black, showing me the desktop page flickering.Eventually it came on but here’s the thing my start button isn’t working. I cannot search and the store is coming up as not registered and the settings is doing the same. Even windows defender is popping up the same message.

    So this is not a BSOD ? Have a Windows 10 disc or USB Flash Drive made ? How are you getting to task manager Ctrl.+Alt+Del ? Any cursor on screen ?

    Black Screen after Log on


    Computer boots to windows log on,have no password here.After a minute on log on it go to a black screen,stays there forever. I can get to Task Manager from black Screen,lost on what to do next. Just want my Windows 10 back, not sure what caused this problem. Any Suggestion on what my next step should be?*Sad

    I suggest you to follow the steps below to



    To assist you better, please provide us the information below:

    • When you say that "reset my computer back to factory settings", are you referring that you have tried to perform rolling back to previous Operating System or performed Reset of Windows 10?
    • Are you able to see Windows 10 logo when you switch on the computer?
