Windows 10: My windows 10 has a problem with activation.

    My windows 10 has a problem with activation.


    I got a windows 10 license for my vm but it has a problem with activation and gives me this error. Can anyone tell me what this means? I don't have an orginization and I did not realize that it was a pro version.This is a genuine copy of windows that I have gotten from microsoft for vm.

    How long did you wait for activation?
    When I re-installed with a fresh install... it took a few hours to sync and activate.
    However, it did, finally, activate.

    I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

    When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
    is that causing the problem?

    Thank you for posting your reply.

    I suggest you to activate the copy of Windows 10 via phone by following the steps below:

    • Press “Windows key + R” and type “slui 4” and press Enter.
    • Select your Region/Country.
    • Select the Phone Activation option, and hold on for a real person.
