Windows 10: My Windows 10 just did an update and the look of the programs and the taskbar changed. I...

I will include a screenshot now of what it looks like. It is kind of grayed out and has the feel of an older windows. I liked the more modern feel of what the default windows 10 taskbar was before. Where can I adjust that?

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

 

Windows just did an automatic update and now the entire start screen has changed and none of my programs are available!

I just recently had an automatic Windows update take place and afterwards it completely wiped out my Start screen with the old user profile! None of my programs are available and it is extremely frustrating! I followed some of the suggestions about looking
in the registry editor but there are no profiles listed at all!

Is there any fix to this or should I migrate to an Apple product?
