Windows 10: My Windows 10 laptop freezes unbelievably frequently

My laptop has been freezing for the last few months. At first, it was sporadic; but it became more frequent as time moved on. Now, it freezes when I try to open an application, especially web browsers like Microsoft Edge and Firefox. I have to wait at least a few minutes for it to become normal. Even when it's functioning perfectly, a web page will sometimes take a longer time to load than it's supposed to. When I try to click on something while its frozen, nothing happens. When I want to open the Task Manager to close the unresponsive applications, it doesn't allow me to. The right-click menu

• Do you have a USB device attached? If yes, can you remove the device and log in again.
  
• Have you tried turning off the WiFi feature in your laptop before logging in?
  
• How about running a Startup Repair in your Windows 10 laptop? (Boot to Advanced Startup Options>Click on Troubleshoot> Click on Advanced options> Click on Startup Repair)
