Windows 10: My windows 10 laptop will not connect to my printer

We have recently changed our broadband router, which uses both 2.4G and 5G. I have connected my Acer laptop and the HP printer to the networks, however, the printer will only work on the 2.4 . When I try to connect the printer to my laptop it doesn't happen. I've spoken to my broadband supp,ie and ther are no issues with the strength. I've uninstalled the printer drivers and installed them again but that isnt helping.....what can I do?

Have you tried the suggestions on my initial post, in response to the original poster? If you haven't performed any troubleshooting yet, here are a couple of things you can try:

• Power off, and then power on your printer to restart it. Wait for a while for it to be fully ready.
• Check your printer connection. Check your printer and make sure that it’s connected to your PC network.

If the steps didn't help, you may go through this list of suggestions to fix printer connection in Windows 10.
