Windows 10: My windows 10 taking long time to load after updating to 20H2 Laptop

Dear Team,


Since my upgrade to Windows 10 Version 20H2, every startup from shutdown is taking long time. On every startup a loading window appears and have to wait for 5 mins.This is like a fresh windows welcome screen.


The laptop configuration is as follows:


Manufacturer: Dell

Model: Inspiron 15 3000 series
Processor: IntelR CoreTM i5-4210U CPU @ 1.70GHz 1.70 GHz
Installed RAM: 8.00 GB
System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Hard Disk: 1 TB


I can do a fresh install but the issue might go without rectifying. Hoping for the solution.

Long Loading Time for Lock Screen

Hello Pawan, thank you for the reply!

I've tried all of the steps that you've given me. Unfortunately, none of them made a difference except for the clean boot step. It didn't completely solve the problem, however I did notice a
slightly faster load time for the lock screen. However, it still takes an unusually long time to load it. Any other suggestions?

Win 10 taking a really long time to boot


I have a Dell Inspiron 3531 with the Windows 10 free upgrade (Home edition) and an Intel Celeron N2830. Since a couple of days, my laptop is taking a really long time to start up.

After it powers on, there is a blank screen for 1-2 minutes before the Dell logo and loading circle appears. The loading screen doesn't take a long time and the logon screen comes up pretty quickly, but I'm just concerned about what is happening right after I press the power button. There is a blank screen for far too long (no cursor, ctrl-alt-del doesn't work, nothing.)

The Task Manager says the last BIOS time is anywhere from 60-90 seconds (I got different times throughout the last few days). I have updated all drivers and turned on Fast Startup. Any other suggestions/help would be much appreciated!
