Windows 10: My windows 10 was getting updates and windows defender has error 0x80240016 and is stuck, help

Hello I dont know why my windows 10 home takes 4 to 6 hours each month when theres updates. and all the years i have this HDD drive windows defender never failed to install and download after all the other updates finish. So now KB50116616 is stuck installing at 20% since defender did not install right. so can you explain in easy to understand info how to fix error code 0x80240016 when derfender was trying to download and install? thanks for the help
