    My windows 10 won't go to sleep unless I untick the box in Device Manager that says 'Allow... Capture578.jpg



    I've done all the usual in device manager with unticking all devices that can wake the system, and used the powercfg commands in the CMD prompt.

    lastwake shows nothing as if it hadnt woken, device-query shows no devices are allowed to wake the system.
    system maintenance is disabled and sleep timers are not allowed to wake the PC in the power management settings.

    And yet, the damn PC randomly wakes up a few minutes after its slept - and sometimes goes back to sleep before repeating the process. any ideas?

    Computer won't sleep/standby

    You should go into Device Manager->Your Mouse (Power Management tab) and uncheck the "Allow this device to wake the computer" box. Same with the keyboard.

    There are certain applications that will prevent your computer from sleeping, like Torrent programs, etc. Make sure none of those are running when it is automatically supposed to go to sleep. Most of these programs allow you to go into the setup and turn that feature off.
