Windows 10: My windows 11 laptop is stuck in tablet mode.

I closed my laptop to go clean up some things and came back an hour later and opened my laptop HP Envy x360 on Windows 11 to find that it was stuck in tablet mode. I tried restarting the computer and there was no luck there. I called up a friend and he showed me how to run sfc /scannow and that didn't bring up any results. I flipped my laptop in and out of its tablet positions and that didn't seem to work either. So am I just stuck with this forever?

It sounds like your Windows 11 stuck in tablet mode and your laptop screen will get black when you start up. Sorry to hear this.

Regarding the stuck in tablet mode:

As we know that instead of having a dedicated tablet mode, Windows 11 makes it much easier to use table mode on your device. As soon as your PC or laptop won’t be connected to a keyboard, or rotate or flip your laptop’s screen, tablet mode functionality will automatically be enabled on your device.

It is advised to try the solutions below and see if the problem is solved.

1. Select Start > Settings > Windows Update to check and update your Windows 11 to the latest version.

2. Scan and repair corrupted system files.

Press and hold Windows+X to run Windows PowerShell (Administrator) and run the following commands respectively in sequence:

Allow the process to finish and see if it solves any problems. Restart the device later.

3. Restore your PC to a Restore point if you have set one when your Windows ran well.

• Open the Control Panel > Type: recovery > Select Recovery > Open System Restore > In the Restore system files and setting box, select Next > Select the restore point that you want to use in the list of results, and then select Scan for affected programs.
  

• You'll see a list of items that will be deleted if you remove this restore point. If you're OK with the deletions, select Close > Next > Finish.
  

Regarding the black screen when booting:

Is it possible to turn off laptop keyboard in Windows 11 - Tablet Mode

I have my Windows 11 Dell 2 in 1 laptop in tablet mode (screen folded back) to draw or watch a movie. If my digits land upon the keyboard the computer responds to whatever key I inadvertently touched. This has serious negative implications for my desired activity.

Is it possible to turn off laptop keyboard in Windows 11 whilst in Tablet Mode?
