My windows 11 laptop screen will not turn on after opening the lid. it works fine besides that. the power is on but the screen doesn't turn on.

Is your laptop asleep with the lid closed or is it turned off with the lid closed?

If the laptop is turned off, there is no method or setting in Windows to start the laptop when you open the lid, because Windows is not running and so, no setting in Windows will work for that.

I want my laptop to turn of when I open the lid.

I checked the settings and everything seems to be enabled already. Power options = enabled, regedit = enabled.

Yet the laptop does not turn on, I have to press the power button to start the system.

I have a MSI Raider GE76.

Screen stays black after opening lid

I have been getting this issue recently and out of nowhere. I've set my laptop to do nothing if the lid is closed. Previously it would work perfectly. II clos the lid and then re open it the screen wakes up fine. But now whenever i open the lid, the screen
turns on momentarily and then turns black. I have to press the power button twice to turn on the screen (I've set my laptop to turn off the screen when power button is pressed). I think this is some kind of bug. Can anyone help me fix this?
