Windows 10: my windows 11 laptop starts by pressing power button twice what can i do

when i press power button first then the light in power button glows but display or screen is not shown then i press power button again and then my laptop shuts down and the when i press it thrice then finally it on the main screen . i am facing this problem from 3 to 4 months . so please i am requesting please solve this issue because i need this laptop in very good condition because my 60% work is on this laptop . I shall be very thankful to you for this act of kindness .

I have a Samsung Laptop NP355E7C-S09DE, originally with Window 8, but updated to Windows 10.
I have also in the meantime made several CLEAN installations of Windows 10. Originally, also under Windows 10, Hibernation used to work, and then LATER, with no apparent cause stopped with Windows getting stuck at Samsung Logo, when trying
to wake it up. Then, you have to press power button to turn off & then ON again. This of course makes you loose what you had before hibernation.

Also I realized later, that almost all the time, if you POWER off, it has the same issue, needing practically pressing the power button twice to get Windows to load normally.



I have contacted Microsoft forums several times, but the offered solutions, which seem
to work for SOME people of disabling FAST BOOT, etc, & all types of suggested troubleshooting



Currently, several people (using different PCs) who have the exact problem have no solution & there does not seem to be any working answer even if you search the internet as the only suggested solutions include the mentioned turning off of Fastboot
+ various types of scans/troubleshooting which DO NOT help SOME.



So Hibernation no longer works & almost all the time, after normal power down, when you Start the PC, it gets stuck at Logo, ... needing to press switch OFF & then back on. That's when Windows loads normally.



Does the BIOS version come into question as being behind this, may be it not being compatible with the CURRENT & RECENT builds of Windows 10?

I must add, Samsung stopped manufacturing notebooks BEFORE Windows 10 & most of their current support & drivers/software, etc are limited to Win 8.1.



All software, drivers with the help of Iobit Driver Booster, etc & Windows are consistently up-to-date.



I would appreciate some clear answers & support.

UPDATE

I disabled HIBERNATION & noted that at least AFTER the subsequent, preliminary 5, 6 Shutdowns, I could power-up the notebook with it
not getting stuck at the Logo & requiring turning off the PC & pressing the power button to get it starting normally.

It seems there's a problem with hibernation, which does not seem to work and this started months ago. No idea whether it was after a specific update or build.

• After re-enabling Fast Boot, the problem of having to press the power button twice comes back. Right now as I right this, it's been stuck at the Samsung logo for the last 15 minutes.

The question is: is there a working solution from Microsoft for Windows 10 making it possible for Fast Boot co-existing with Hibernation + no requirement to press the power button twice to boot to desktop?

well I do not know if you read thru what I explained, but I clearly mention the suggested steps did NOT help.

I also mention that BIOS driver being behind this is just a mere suspicion by me. So you also think it is the cause?

I had also mentioned before

• that even after Windows upgrade from Win 8.1 & subsequent clean installs, there used to be NO PROBLEM, with hibernation working together with Fast Boot & no need to use power button twice
• that Samsung stopped making notebooks & only provides support up to Win 8.1 and so that includes BIOS. Having said that, there was originally no problem, but may be some Win Update or Build is behind this.

There are some issues like this and the mentioned separate issue, of the Start Menu ceasing to function for no apparent reason that do not seem to have a solution in some cases for Windows 10.

Having to prss power button twice on laptop before it will start

I have this new GE62 MSI laptop running Win10 all was fine with it until by coincidence apparently windows updates some drivers and then right after my optical drive died, along with the MSI recovery methods got corrupted... the service centre replaced the optical drive etc and I got the laptop back I tried the drive and started to configure Windows to my liking a few items at a time, again everything fine....

Now all of a sudden the problem is I push the power button once it stays on the MSI boot logo until I push the button again and it turns off straight away, push the button again the MSI logo appears and then I get the little Windows loading circle of dots and Windows loads up and works fine after that....

Obviously this is not right and peeing me off especially since it has only just started happening, I don't have much in the way of software installed and its the same software I had installed before the optical drive died and I did not have that problem before then....

Any suggestions please guys.
