Windows 10: My Windows 11 laptop will not boot up after the 22h2 update. Should I uninstall the update?

When I start the computer it gets to the HP logo and no further.

Uninstalling Updates on Windows 11 22H2

Used to be in Windows 11 you could go to Control Panel, Programs and Features and pick View installed updates. It would show updates for Windows and other non Microsoft apps.
With Windows 11 22H2 it only shows a few Windows updates, how do I get back the full list of updates.

Uninstalling Updates on Windows 11 22H2

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

When you install a major update like version 22h2, that usually wipes the list of installed updates, because the updates form a previous version of Windows would not exist in the new version of Windows and if they were left there, that may corrupt the operating system if someone tried to uninstall them.

What difficulty are you experiencing and what update were you trying to uninstall?

Thanks to everyone I have successfully upgraded to 22H2!

I did everything suggested.

Uninstalled Norton, System Mechanic and even Samsung Magician

Ran DISM and SFC

Unplugged everything except monitor, keyboard and mouse

Updated all drivers

Ran the suggested registry fix

Did a clean boot

One quick comment about recovering from the clean boot. The apps nomenclature changed between original Windows 11 and 22H2, so many times I had to guess the startup program. Original Windows 11 was much more description. For example, Garmin Express is now just express.exe.

The Preparation H was flowing!
