Windows 10: My Windows 11 software update within the last 15 minutes completely messed up my PIN. code...

I went through 2 Windows 11 software updates last night.after the last one, I clicked shut down.brought it up today and was doing stuff. i got to a breakpoint and saw I needed to install another set of updates. I did that and now it doesn't recognize the PIN that I've been using for the last several months.I called the Lenovo team andthey set to reset the pin via the pin hole on the back. that didn't work.why would a windows update break my PIN?

Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Windows 11 needs PIN - lost PIN & Password - Help!

To reset a forgotten PIN code, please complete these steps: (Require your phone number.)

Step 1: On the Windows 11 login screen, click “I forgot my PIN” under the PIN password box.

Step 2: Enter your user account password and then click “Sign in”.

Step 3: you need to verify your identity, choose a way to receive code and continue.

Step 4: If you choose your phone number, enter the last 4 digits of the phone number. Then click “Send code”.

Step 5: You will receive a code in seconds. Type in your received code and then click “Verify”.

Step 6: Select “Continue”.

Step 7: Type in a new PIN and type it again to confirm. Then click “OK”. The new PIN password is working now.

CS-15 and Nokia Internet Modem takes 15-30 minutes to request PIN

I'm using Windows Vista (all latest updates installed), and a CS-15 USB modem with DNA in Finland. I have managed to get the product working, but when I reboot the computer on restart the CS-15 red LED sits there blinking for up to half an hour, and wellphone2.exe
takes about 50% of CPU. Eventually, if you wait long enought, a dialog appears asking for the SIM card PIN, and then the DNA Nokia Internet Modem software window appears and I can connect.



I installed the update at Nokia and HMD phones support for CS-15_R2.10.2
but there was no request to update CS-15 firmware, the DNA logo was replaced with a Nokia logo on the desktop shortcut, and now the PIN request is no longer made (even after 30 minutes) so the CS-15 sits there just blinking red



Any ideas what is wrong, and how to correct it?.
