Windows 10: My windows 8.1 is stuck on hp refresh Lenovo H515s

Everyti.e I go on the computer and try fixing it in the bios nothing works and I really need help

There are several such cases reported in the context of Lenovos, so suggests some sort of Lenovo utility.

I'd start with Autoruns and searching for anything Lenovo related.

Lenovos seem to have their own system update scheduler. Check if anything happened there a couple of days ago - here's mine:







My guess would be you're seeing a consequence of that.

This suggested:

FWIW this PC is a Lenovo, but no Lenovo*.vbs anywhere.

if Autoruns has no reference to that file directly, it's possible something else being launched is responsible.

If so, it may become a matter of elimination by disabling things and finding a scenario on which it doesn't occur and so identifying the culprit.

Other approaches:
- use a system restore point - it might succeed
- restore from a recent disk image (assuming you use this routinely as is so often recommended here).
