I am submitting another question because my last discussion didn't get me anywhere. The full story is that randomly my Windows account was hacked. The Microsoft account I use for Windows didn't exist anymore, probably because the hacker changed it to theirs, and a new unrecognized email was in place of mine. My password doesn't work anymore, and I kept getting emails about other software I use, like Epic Games, Discord, Spotify, and Steam, saying my account email was changed during times between 3 AM and 6 AM. I'm less interested in recovering my Windows account and more interested in gettin

deleting administrator account w/o having password

When it asks non-admin accounts for an admin password to authorise something, it routinely suggests the last admin account used. If you click on More choices, you will see a list of admin accounts and you can just select the one you now have access to. The next time the dialog appears it will suggest that as the admin account to use to give permission to proceed.

Once you have done this and seen it all working, you can either delete her old account [after having checked her user folders to make sure there is nothing there you need] or, assuming it is a local account not an MSAccount, just reset her password then put on a new one** so that the account is available as a spare admin.

** Which you should write down.

Administrator Accounts Can't Change Permissions Anymore

I can access everything on the drive and do all the normal stuff such as creating files and editing them. It's more of an aesthetic change in terms of impact at this point. Perhaps some detail will clarify. When I test set "full control" and, then unchecked it to go back to what I thought was normal permissions, I did so by including the others listed as sub-permissions. Modify, R&E, List folder contents, Read, Write; they all got checked manually. Somehow, putting the checkmarks exactly the way they were, did not result in the same settings returning to normal.

It's as if there are permissions included in "full control" which are not included in the visible list of permission subsections.
