Windows 10: my windows defender scan is stuck for nearly 30 min what should I do?

so my i5 8300 U 16 Gb ram pc started to get slow so I was suspecting some malwares on it that's why first I tried scanning it using avast scan, but it showed that it was safe.To make sure I tried to scan it using windows defender but during the scan it got stuck mid way and didn't seem to continue, so I gave it 30 minutes and came back to find it still stuck what should I do?

This issue might occur if you have set any task scheduler for Windows Defender.

I suggest you to delete the task for Windows defender and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Search and open Schedule tasks.
  
• 
  In the left-hand menu, open the Task Scheduler Library, then select
  Microsoft >Windows >Windows Defender.
  
• 
  Double-click Windows Defender Scheduled Scan.
  
• 
  Select the Triggers panel, then select Delete.

Windows Defender offline scan stucked at 92%

Hi guys. I'm working on finding out why my laptop is booting so slow after entering PIN code and I've started from following this tutorial: Optimize Performance of Windows 10 but I'm stucked at the first step. Why Live Tile is updated in Windows Phone @ 30 Mins interval?

I tried as per suggested steps, unfortunalty does not help.



I think it is Windows OS Limitation to have tile update on every 30 mins.
