    Supported phones for Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview


    Your list confirms my phone is eligible, Lumia 521. The windows Insider App fails after ~ 15 seconds, restores data and gives me error 80073cf9. I trouble shot this and went thru all the steps mentioned on several websites including MS without any luck. Short of a hard reset, this is where I am now. Suggestions appreciated.

    Hi Carolyn,

    To assist you better, I would like to ask some questions.

    • Are you referring to the Mail App?
    • Did you make any changes to the computer prior to this issue?

    If the issue is with the Mail App, I suggest you to run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter by following the steps provided below:

    • Type “Troubleshooting” in search box and press Enter.
    • Click on View all on top left pane.
    • Select “Windows Store Apps” from the list and follow the prompts for troubleshooting.

    Keep us posted on the status for further assistance.

    My Windows Giving Me An Error All Of A Sudden

    Windows 10 email erroring all of a sudden

    I finally resolved it following instructions I found using the error code online - by renaming the comms file to old and then re-downloading the mail app....... though I had to use POP to get it to allow me to re-add my outlook email account w/o another
    error message.

    I had zero issues with this computer and Win10 until yesterday when I was asked to install update to Office - but I still had the email working properly. This morning when I arrived at my desk my computer had rebooted over night and I had a message changes
    had been made to my computer. There was a dll error message [which was new] which led to me downloading and running Regcure Pro - which fixed the dll issue but left me with no working email app and the aforementioned error code when I attempted to re-install
    email until I found the info to change the comms file and reboot. IT is working now, but I still have no clue what caused it. This is a new computer and up til yesterday the set up was working fine.....Would like to know what the overnight update or the update
    to Office did to cause all of this to start, however.
